Vice Chair Introduction: Su-Ann Ho
Hey Delegates,
My name is Su-Ann Ho (she/her), and I am thrilled to be a Vice Chair for HASEAN at BMUN LXXII! This will be my ninth year participating in Model United Nations, and fourth year in BMUN. I am also serving as the USG of Research this year, and am incredibly proud of the committees programme we have prepared this year. The majority of my MUN experience has been at conferences in Vancouver, Canada where I am from.
I am currently a senior at UC Berkeley studying Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences and Bioengineering. I enjoy teaching and dedicate a portion of my time to teaching on the Machine Structures course staff at Cal. As well, since transitioning from competing to staffing in MUN six years ago, I have thoroughly enjoyed hearing the immersive debates and ideas hatched from committee rooms from a broader perspective. The research, writing, and editing process of papers in MUN is also a wonderful break from the STEM-heavy work of engineering, and allows me to deeply research my interests in an academic environment. I spend most of my free time climbing, playing volleyball, pool, and video games.
I look forward to meeting all of you in March, and cannot wait to hear your discussions in committee!
Best,
Su-Ann Ho
